Privacy Policy

A plain-English explanation of what we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. Short version: we collect only what's needed to respond to you, we never sell your data, and we don't run advertising trackers.

1. Introduction

Obsidian Made(“we,” “us,” “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit obsidianmade.com(the “Site”) or engage our services, how we use it, and the choices you have.

By using the Site or submitting information through our forms, you consent to the practices described below.

2. Information We Collect

We collect only the information you choose to provide, plus a small amount of automatic data needed to operate the Site securely.

Information you provide

  • Contact form submissions: your name, email address, phone number, business name, project type, budget range, and details about your project.
  • Direct correspondence: anything you include when emailing us at obsidianstudio.dev@gmail.com or messaging us through our social channels.

Information collected automatically

  • Basic server logs (IP address, browser type, referring page, timestamp) used by our hosting provider for security, performance monitoring, and abuse prevention.
  • Google Analytics — collects anonymized usage data (pages visited, device type, general location, referral source) so we can understand how people find and use the Site. Google may set analytics cookies. See Google's Privacy Policy.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information you provide only to:

  • Respond to your inquiry, send you a custom proposal, or follow up on an active project.
  • Provide and improve the services you engage us for.
  • Maintain the security and integrity of the Site.

We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your information with advertisers, data brokers, or any third party for marketing purposes. Ever.

4. Service Providers

We rely on a small number of trusted service providers to operate the Site and handle inquiries:

  • Formspree— processes contact form submissions and delivers them to our inbox. Submitted data is governed by Formspree's privacy policy.
  • Our hosting provider — serves the Site and maintains operational logs.
  • Google Analytics — measures Site traffic and usage patterns. Governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

These providers are contractually or operationally required to use your information only to provide their services to us.

5. Cookies & Tracking

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use the Site. Google may set first-party analytics cookies (such as _ga) to distinguish sessions. We do not use advertising, retargeting, or social-media tracking pixels.

Our hosting provider may also set technical cookies necessary for site delivery. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install Google's Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. The Site will continue to function if you disable cookies.

6. Data Retention

We keep contact form submissions and correspondence for as long as needed to respond to your inquiry or service an active engagement, plus a reasonable period for our records (typically up to 24 months after the last contact).

You may request earlier deletion at any time using the contact details below.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate information.
  • Request deletion of your information.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect the information you share with us. However, no system is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security and encourage you to share sensitive information only through secure channels.

The Site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information through our Site, please contact us so we can remove it.

10. International Users

We are based in the United States. If you submit information from outside the U.S., that information will be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States. By using the Site, you consent to this transfer.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates take effect on the date posted at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated through a notice on the Site.
